Adult Street Safety and Introduction into Martial Arts Certification Seminar
This Seminar is appropriate for age 15 and older.
What is Martial Arts? And which Martial Art is for you? What is the meaning of self defense and what does the law say? Do you know which Martial Art will best suit your needs? Would you like to learn a Martial Art that is age appropriate? You appropriate? Would you like to know the answers to all these questions without having to join several clubs, or worse, get locked into a program that you cannot get out of?
Well now you can! This 5 hour introduction into the world of Martial Arts is highly interactive and will answer you questions. And once you survive it, you'll get the certification to prove it.

Some Theory
- Brief History of Martial Arts and Why it was necessary
- What big change affected Martial Arts
- Different styles of Martial Arts
- What are liabilities of using Martial Arts, brief discussion of Self Defense Act
- Why practice Martial Arts
Practical
- A safe and controlled learning environment
- Striking Arts versus Energy Arts
- Break falls and simple gymnastics (optional) but still discussed
- What is Ki Jung Do and why it was created
- Practicing a mixture of Ki Jung Do
There will be ample opportunity for questions throughout the seminar. The seminar is highly interactive so that you can see and feel the differences so that you can make an informed decision. Loose clothing should be worn. Socks or bare feet only in the training area.
There is a minimum of 10 participants required to a maximum of 20 to ensure quality instruction and supervision. A seminar will commence when we have received interest of 10 or more participants. Those that wish to set up a seminar and can get 10 or more participants will receive 50% discount on their enrollment for 10 students. If more than 15 enroll, your enrollment fee is waived.
Total cost of Seminar Only $125.00
Enrollment Fees are plus HST. There is a $50 non-refundable deposit required. Balance to be paid in full prior to the commencement of the event. Waiver form must be completed for liability purposes.
